"We're home!" I holler as we pull into the garage, and Sophia claps and claps. Even for a 17 month old... no matter how fun the weekend was, it's always good to be home. So here are some moments at Nana and Papa's: Ian, Tere, and 4 month old Cannon, backyard fun, more fairy wings because I love fuchsia (and spell checked it this time), play time at a park in Coronado (because the beach was WAY too cold), and Papa and Sophia BOTH wearing Sophia's jammies... sort of. (Picture arrangement as good as it's gonna get.)
Ross get's home tonight in about an hour. (Yay!) I can't wait for him to see how cool Sophia is in the morning. I swear she's gotten cuter AND smarter in the last five days. Tonight while I was cleaning up her dinner, I casually asked her if she wanted to take a bath... she disappeared and when I went to find her, she was standing next to the bath tub waiting. Simple I know-- genius to me. :) Obviously we use the word "bath" a lot but I guess since we usually scoop her food-coated body out of her high chair after dinner and drop it right into the bath, she never has a chance to show us that she knows what it means... It was a moment for me.

What fun!!! I was so excited to see this little weekend montage, and blew up every picture (still SO jealous that you can do this). You look glowily gorgeous (again, the bangs, wow...I love them). Sophie is SUCH a little GIRL. I can't believe how much personality is behind those big blue eyes now... and how pretty those dark lashes are. My favorite is the slide-peeking shot where she's giving a teasing smile. Your mom never ages, I swear. What a great weekend! And how exciting that Sophia's picking up on the words that she hears. Smart girl.
Lil, May or June. I'm serious. We're doing this. The thought of you coming makes me grin ear-to-ear. Shopping in Georgetown... breakfast at Eastern Market... the beauties and history of down town... one big long sleepover?! Seriously. Heaven.
I love all of your pictures! They are all so adorable! Sophia is truly a beautiful girl- I guess like her mommy. And the bangs, I LOVE them! They look great on you! So cute about the bathtub. I love those moments when you finally realize how much your children understand everything (and it makes you more aware of what you say because repeating will start). Looks like a fun weekend.
Lillie you are too kind! Actually, to be honest, I'm embarrased that picture is up there! I DID NOT think it'd work! Life....never what you think! No, I don't play volleyball right now. Just in the backyard with the girls or when I get home to CA. I always promised myself I wouldn't get pregnant until I had my body back. It's never the same after kids, but you have to be happy at some point! :) I can't say it's super easy either. So glad you got to go home. Too fun. Your family looks so cute, just like I remember. Your bangs are sooooooo cute...they really are!! With all 4 girls, I remember distinctly when we went from me just talking to being friends all day long and being able to chat and have them understand what I was saying. It really is a mommy moment. Some of the best moments ever!
Sarah basically took the words right out of my mouth! I LOVE your bangs, you look BEAUTIFUL, Sophia is so you, your mom is beautiful, etc.!
Once I have this baby, you'll have to let me in on your secret on how you keep getting skinnier and skinnier. You look so good. I can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks. Still OK if we come?
Cute that Sophia knows what you are talking about when you say "we're home!" I'm going to start doing that and maybe Ave will begin to get it. We do the same thing after dinner - messy hands and face, straight to the tub!
I remember when you posted about Ian JUST having baby Cannon. Now he looks all grown up. That's crazy how fast it goes.
Cute pics as always Lil!
SO I loved just looking at your blog! I know we haven't talked about this yet but....I love your bangs. I think they look great...at least in the pics! I am so jealous that your life is about trips to San Diego and hanging by the pool! As we speak I am in a turtleneck and sweater...UGGHH! I have sooo come to the very strong conclusion that I am a warm weather kind of girl...warm weather and palm trees. miss you!
It was SO good to talk to you today!! Wow, too good to be true... getting to check up on your blog everyday, AND a phone conversation all in the same day! Sometimes I forget just how lucky all of us are to know someone like you. You make everyone feel so special, and there is a reason why we have kept our friendship alive all these years. You're one of those friends that I could never ever ever lose track of. Anyway, LOVE the pics of Sophia, I bet it was so great to see your family. As I said earlier, (on the phone), I spent the weekend with my family, too, and Dan went skiing with the guys on Sat. and Mon, too! It seemed like everyone had the same idea this last weekend. I always miss him so much whenever we "split up" and do our different things...but it's also fun to have girly time with my mom and Jul's. Okay, so I think Sophia is looking more and more like you! I don't know what it is, but it's adorable. And, I'm not trying to copy everyone else, but I was thinking the same thing...your mom is so beautiful, and I LOVE your bangs. I told you that you could pull it off. Sorry about the very long comment.
