I kept putting off blogging this... because of course I could add more. And I kept thinking I might get around to it. But I probably won't-- for a while at least. Obviously the room doesn't need two chairs, but I couldn't bare to get rid of the comfy one (with the sloppy slip cover) with nursing and all. Especially because when I sat in the fake eames rocker with my NEGATIVE stomach muscles I felt like I'd fall straight back. But it's cute, right? :) If/when I move that, I think the room could use a narrow book shelf of some sort for some cute (dare I say) knick knacks? and books etc... in that corner. I still have the ikea rocking moose I plan on painting white, and tried to order this moroccan pouf from amazon but the vendor never shipped it. Bummer. Still gonna get my hands on one.
But this is Finn's nursery--- I wanted it to be simple and clean and light with lots of natural textures. I love it.
This feels presumptuous to post my purchases like everyone would want to know. But when I'm getting ideas from other blogs, I LOVE when they post the products. So a quick run down:
crib- amazon
fabric for bedding from premier fabric- made by my friend Brooke's mom
bamboo shade- overstock
modern rocker- I got it from Caitlyn Creer when she was selling them on her blog, but they have them on overstock.
sheepskin rug- ikea
light fixture- ikea
dresser- ikea
drawer pulls- anthropologie sale
mirror- an old Homegoods purchase that had been booted out of all of it's spots in my house
boy walking lion print- Sarah Jane Studios on etsy-- I love her darling prints.
Good Morning Sunshine print-- This vintage poster website
All frames- ikea
maps- a random $20 Costco purchase last year-- It came with two maps and I cut one large map in half and framed it here.
paint colors- classic gray by benjamin moore all over-- the darker gray stripes?-- I can't remember! It's a martha color... I wanted to say Bedmoor gray or something... but I think I made that up because it sounds like Benjamin Moore... hmmm.. I'll remember tonight when I'm going to sleep.

I love this room. Where did you get the maps you framed. Great job!
It turned out so cute Lillie! We are looking for a bamboo shade for our boys room. We found some but they don't look right and are too long. Maybe I will try this one from overstock. And how lucky that you have overhead lighting. They don't put those in bedrooms here... did you guys have to add it? Good work- it is super cute!!
This is just such a great room. I love the choice of the rust colour. The map, stripes, textures just work so well. You must be so delighted. It's just great
so glad you blogged this. i know i've been in the room, and loved every second of it's beauty, but now i have it at my fingertips to linger when ever i want. = )
it's beautiful Lillie.
can you decorate my new house (btw...the bank got back to us and want to close march 1st). so i think i'll hire you.
BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, now that it's done and so fantastic. hooray for finishing of it. (and the bumpers look totally wonderful! definitely a favorite, because of their custom look.)
I want to sleep in little FInn's crib. Very soothing place to wake up.
I want this to be my baby's room! It's so so so warm and comfy!!!! And the sunshine poster might make me a little happier in the morning...
I am in LOVE!!!
Seriously. And of course you bought the maps at costco LAST year. :) I've been looking for great maps to frame.
It's perfect!
Sooo beautiful and peaceful! What a lucky baby boy!
Love and miss you!
Lillie, it's seriously amazing! Love the stripes and especially the orange. And you know I always love a chevron :) looks professional and adorable. High five!
it is darling. you did such a good job! wanna come to my house?
SO CUTE! I'm so glad you posted this. . . I've been waiting! :) You did an amazing job (as always). Love everything - especially the artwork. I want those maps! Finn's a lucky boy (he's got a great room and an even greater momma). Miss you!
we have stripes in our entry way and i love them. i'll have to post a photo when i finish everything.
i love this room. we have a million and one projects to accomplish but a lot of this would look GREAT in my little one's room. his "theme" will be robots. he already has a this color scheme in his room.
great, job!
This room is adorable! You did a great job decorating it! I love the gray with the orange... so cute. Seriously one of the cutes boy rooms I've ever seen.
I just found your blog today and must say that you have fantastic taste. Not only do I have a son named Finn but my daughter's room has almost the exact same grey stripes! :) Such a beautiful nursery!
So insanely gorgeous! i find your blog extremely happy and lovely. :)
This room is amazing!!!!!! Especially loving the orange ties on the chevron crib bumper. So cool.

I'm Sara's SIL and I think you seem like a super nice person who didn't deserve the verbal onslaught this brought! This nursery is absolutely darling!! The chevron pattern mixed with the striped wall is unexpectedly gorgeous! I LOVE the colors--it is so hard to decorate for boys (I have 3 )-- I'm actually considering plagiarizing your work j/k ;)
I think that your efforts to give credit to Sar are commendable and hope you know that she is the sweetest person you will ever meet and would never want to verbally attack anyone! Ironically, I am kind of thrilled that she posted this link because, again, I am super impressed with your work!

You are awesome. This nursery is awesome. The poster is awesome (I will be ordering a custom poster from them and posting about it on my blog)...promise, lots of great business will be generated for them by this. :)
And to the person who left the comment above........really? Really? If you own the rights to the quote "good morning sunshine", then I own the rights to the world wide web.
oh.my.stars. Can't we just all be nice and get along? So not in my nature to even say anything, but the above comment was unnecessary over a very simple mistake that was made right.
i found you on oh dee doh. i LOVE this nursery. i'm pregnant with a boy and we are on the same wave length (i've already bought a similar white ikea dresser & sarah jane print for his nursery). i just wish i could buy a similar crib bumper - that one is ADORABLE! thanks for the inspiration.
I am so happy I found your blog! I ordered some chevron blue fabric a few months back as I am going to attempt to make by own bumper crib with it. I was wondering where you got the white/cream fabric from (could you email where.. please?) I am having a hard time finding a fabric to match the chevron fabric.
Love the nursery!

Hi! I found your blog via oh dee doh, too. My family's past the nursery phase (sigh) but I'm excited about decorating the girls' room with input from them this time around. There's something about Finn's room that's motivating me to take some risks with color, textures, and accessories. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Beautiful! Love the crisp white and all the bold colors too.
Framed maps = A+
What a beautiful room. This looks similar to our guest room which I figure might become a nursary some day {shh, don't tell the hubs}.
I love all the textures and it's so bright!
Lovely blog, hope to see you at My Dream Canvas!
love this, so adorable! the stripes are fantastic! i'll be pinning this for future reference!! :)
Do you know the make and model of the crib? I love the simplicity of it--I am looking for something just like it!!!
I have been looking for map pictures just like this. Could you tell me where you found those brightly colored maps and what size those pictures are? I love this room. I have gray and white horizontal strips in my sons room and trying to make it a safari theme and have been looking for maps to take up one big bare wall. Thanks!
Is the color of fabric used on bumper village blue natural or girly blue twill? I love your room!
