Joshua Tree

We actually wrapped a loaf of homemade bread in a towel, threw in some butter, jam, cheese, and grapes, grabbed some Doritos and peanut m&ms on the way (we're a little bit classy, a little bit trashy) and had ourselves a real picnic at Joshua Tree National Park. It was beautiful. We couldn't keep Sophia off the rocks... she really has always been fearless.
(observant girls: I know I know... same blue jacket in every post... turns out when you live in a place that never gets cold... you only own one warm jacket-- which means when you're recording Christmas time in places that do get cold... it looks like everything took place in the same day. Hmpf.)

So since I've been stalking your blog for like a year, I figure I'd better comment, finally. It's Irene, Lacy's BFF from G-ville (you might remember me). Anyway, just wanted you to know that I LOVE the pictures you take! I've been wanting a Nikon D60 for like forever since I'm obsessed with taking pictures and I love seeing what you do with yours! Anyway, your family is beautiful and you're super talented!

Actually, I was just thinking how jealous I was of the jacket. Each time I see it I don't think about the last time I saw it, I think "I want that", and that you look very beautiful. The pictures are amazing, and even my friends who stalk your blog have commented (to me) on your talent. Remind me, do you have a Canon (I know I should know this by now).

Lillie, if I could describe the way I see you using only colors, it would be a lot of the beach. You know, sandy colors and different shades of blue. And then, the occasional splash of hot pink.

Seriously, go through your posts. I love it. Beautiful pics. You guys need to come out to NY so we can show what a cold place is really like. (You can borrow my puffy...)

Everytime I think, holy cow could she have any MORE beautiful pictures. . . . you have something even better than before. Amazing. Loved catching up on the phone and loved catching up on the blog. Looks like you've had lots of good times. :)

Wow Lillie, I love seeing that smile on your face! The pictures of you these last few weeks show you with a radiant smile. Actually, it's whenever you're visiting with Lacey...love that you two sisters are so in love. I totally feel that way about my sisters (as you know) and love to be reminded when I see you with yours. Hopefully we will see you in person soon?
