DIY Play kitchen that makes my heart go pitter patter.

Holy Cow... did anyone see this on Design Sponge? I was wishing that Santa had decided to bring Mila a kitchen for Christmas since she's obsessed with the one in Sophia's class room. But whether he (we) was (were) lazy or cheap, we're not sure, but no kitchen. Now I see this DIY kitchen from an old night stand... and I know I could NEVER figure out how to do it... but oh if I could--
So much room for creativity! Isn't it darling? Maybe some day when I find myself with so much extra time, I need a new hobby. Hah.

Are you KIDDING me? That thing is adorable.

I always think about the day when I drop my last child off at first grade with a day to myself. Maybe THEN we can make our own kitchens.

Totally saw the exact same post on that blog and about died. I thought, I paid for that dumb Walmart one that was so cute, but fell apart. This one looks so sturdy and way cuter. I kept staring at it thinking, "could I do that?" And I was so annoyed with myself for giving away a really solid nightstand I made in high school woodshop but had no where to put it. Bummer. You should do it. You have two girls...imagine the hours they'd play with it....and the cute pictures.

No totally didn't see that one. So freakin cute.

I see things like that on all these cool design blogs and think if only to shop at DI or antique stores and find really cool pieces of furniture so I can do makeovers and then I always just give in and buy something else cuz I don't have the time to really shop. ;)

But very cool to make time for it you had a cool piece. :)

Hey... a few questions for ya... do you always shoot in RAW? I haven't tried that yet... Also, what lens do you recommend? I have the standard one of course, the 18-55 and I also got a zoom 55-200, that I love. Kolette said you recommended the sigma, 30 mm? Also... Do you typically edit everything? You're right, it takes forever! I've been saving it for only a few of the faves, but I wonder if I should be brightening and blurring everything... or maybe when i learn how to make all the proper adjustments, etc, the picture will just turn out like that w/out editing? Sorry about all the questions! I am just loving learning all about this stuff! Alysa and I want to take a class! Maybe you should teach it ;)

Oh man, I am going to totally steal that. Like, by the end of the week. I don't care if Satchel is a boy. He loves kitchens. And maybe if he gets good enough, he could take his turn fixin some grub for us for a change. Thanks Lillie.
