A Birthday Par-Tay

So this is Mia, Sophia's good friend, and the birthday girl. She had a "Princess Party" last Friday and I quickly realized that I have a long way to go if I'm going to be an official mom of two girls. I was the only one who didn't own a single piece of princess garb. Thanks to Kodi (Mia's mom), Sophia was able to borrow a fun pink skirt and necklace, but I'm not sure it was enough to detract from her navy polo. I probably should have brought her in something a little more pastel or shiny.... she sort of looks like a 5o's chick in a poodle skirt amongst a sea of disney princesses. Take a look at the cute videos... lots of little princesses dancing around is a precious sight... and is it just me or does it look like I slipped Sophia a sugar pill right before the party? "GO GO GO!" that's her when you hear it....

Personally, I love Sophia's outfit. She looks darling with the little pink pearls around her neck as she eats the cupcake.

I'm sure girl #2 will bring on princess paraphanelia without you even noticing it. I'm still really wanting to see her bedding!

she is adorable, lillie! My kind of princess for sure. I always leave it to grandma to get the nieces princess attire. And if you gave Sophia a sugar pill, you must have given one to Maya, too. She is a dancing machine!!! She was the same way at the wedding! fun.

Thanks so much for sharing the video- I am Mia and Kail's grandma(Kodi's mom) and since they were just in Az last week, we didn't come to the party! It looked like they were having a blast- and take it from a grandma, we love buying princess attire! I have my house stocked too! Kodi emailed me and told me to check out your blog. Thanks again for sharing the fun! Kim

All I can say is that I really want a little girl. Sophia is so stinkin cute. By the way, did you know that there is a hotel in downtown named after her? It is named Sophia.

I loved it Lil. She has so much energy- and is my kind of dancer - the real aerobic type. Run! Run! Run! So cute. We miss her so much.

I think that Sophia really stood out, breaking out of the mold. I have feeling this is an indication of things to come. She is an individual, but not so different that she is weird or anything. I find her compelling. She has stage presence. As for Disney clothes, don't rush anything. They will start coming in quickly enough.

So freakin cute! I couldn't stop laughing as Sophia zig zagged between the girls. I tried to comment earlier but darn Merrill blocked me from commenting on blogs. At least I still get to read! As far as the "girly" stuff goes, we're way off. Drew gets so excited when the army men and cars come out. Her birthday is all about supplying girl toys in this house :)

Hi Lillie,
They have places in utah thay you can go to and have your daughter dressup and have tea, or play. Girls, aren't we just the best. I see that you are coming to town. I know you have siatic problems, so if you have a chance come up to my spa, I will give you my discunt of 60% of a prego massage. Ross can bring Sophia and swim in the heated pool.
Let me know if you want to.

Jill, if I find a way to be prego real soon, can I be in on that offer? I'd fly to Utah just to see you as spa manager:) Lillie, I LOVE the pic of Soph in her little dark polo and pony w/ pink cupcake in-hand. And those videos? Oh my land, she is the most energetic little creature - so true that she just stands out and probably (as her momma) always will.

Lillie, these videos are awesome - I've been sad at how fast my Laine is growing up, but if this is what I have to look forward to I say bring on the princesses.

How fun....a princess party! I would be just like you without any princess apparel. I'll just stick to trucks for now. :)
