This should be written in bullets... but it's not.

Mila insisted on playing outside this morning.... which I love... usually. But this morning? With our normal temps and a little extra HUMIDITY in the equation, it's 8:48am and my face has already melted right off of my head.

And it's not like I even went out there to play with her--- my priorities are very clear when it comes to this weather and she knows it. :) I blame it on the baby in my tummy. "He can't get too hot."

But she still needed me to open the door and stick my face out to respond to her bum-drop on the trampoline, or the bug she squished with the ice-water (fly-swatter), or to take the lid off of her Dora bubbles. And I LITERALLY stuck ONLY my face and my arm out the sliding door. And they both LITERALLY melted off.

My brother-in-law, Joe is cringing at my confident and very incorrect use of the word "literally". But it just has so much more power than a capitalized "FIGURATIVELY"... and that probably doesn't really make sense anyway.

Joe always wins scrabble.... except when I used all of my letters on the word Martinis on a triple-word-score, after having the ipad in my possession for like 40 minutes. But I digress.

I am LONGING for fall. I think I've officially had enough summer. Even though I have been on an online-shopping-spree and just bought a new swim suit. Desperate body-phases call for desperate measures.

Did I mention that Sophia is starting KINDERGARTEN in a little over a week??? Holy cow, when did I become a grown-up mom?

Answer: I most certainly, have not.

But------- I have become the mom of the most amazing, vibrant, KIND little almost-five-year-old girl ever... and I feel so proud to let her teachers and new friends get to see her sparkle. About six months ago, I felt really nervous, unsure if she was ready for Kinder. She's got a late birthday (Sep 2!), and had a little bit of a delay in her speech when she was starting out. She still isn't the MOST articulate speaker, but emotionally and socially, she just overwhelms me. In a good way. She's empathetic and compassionate and nurturing and just LOVES to make sure that everyone around her is taken care of. The older she gets, the more she reminds me of Ross.

Blogger won't let me upload any more photos.... apparently I've filled my quota. I paid the $5 for more storage for the year... and am HOPING it kicks in soon.... who knows how much more I could ramble on like this with WORDS???

i just started a blog post of being completely over the EXACT same summer you've had. And the recent touch of humidity? It's awful. I'm soooo ready for jeans. To be cold. For soup. For FALL.

And I love hearing you talk about what a gem Sophia has turned in to. It gives me hope. :)

Sophia starts school that soon? I feel like that means that Fall is almost here, well kind of.
I miss you...I feel like its been forever. I am coming home on thurs.
Sawyer misses your girls too. He talks about them everyday.
Can't wait to see what you got from your shopping spree!
