Soaking up the last night...

This was my favorite time of day. Nana and Papa came to visit Friday night, since moments later, we celebrated Sophia's 2nd birthday with cupcakes and presents. It really was hard to watch that final sunset. Ross asked me, "how much life do we let pass before we decide to live where we want to live?" I remember feeling like that when I lived in Hawaii. Like it's amazing how many places we live just to work... to keep living... in that same place... that we don't love... with the hope of visiting for a week a year the place we really love. Hmmmm. Not sure if that makes sense to me.

whenever I'm the first commenter I feel like a true stalker..sorry about that.

but I was quite taken with your gorgeous photos and words...how true, ross, how true. I think some people really are content to just live in a random, average location working at a random, average job....and sometimes brandon and I think, "why can't we be those kinds of people?" :) sure seems like it would make life easier. sigh. but alas, some of us just want the BEST! (and I think that's okay too.) if we end up by the mountains and you end up by the beach, can we just switch dream houses every so often? who says we can't have it all, anyway? :)

I have loved all of these pictures and think it sounds like a perfect trip. Ha, this summer we were in Switzerland and wondered why we aren't living there. Why don't we chose the most beautiful place on earth and decide to live there?

That is why you should move here. Sunsets every night and a friend that really wants you closer!

Loved all the photos Lillie.

Ross' comment was profound. It kind of struck me deep. I guess if we always lived in the perfect place we might not appreciate it as much. At least that is how I am justifying living where I am living right now, down the street from you. Come winter time, we will be flaunting our perfect clear blue skies in 70-80 degree weather and people will be saying we live in the perfect spot (but I still, always prefer beach.)

Have fun on your trips. It has been so long, and will continue to be so long since I see you again. Thanks goodness for blogging. I would be shocked that you are so far along already. Take care of your sweeties.
