Can I pretend it's in no way political?

So Jack covered 'Imagine' and I love the sound of this song. I mean how can you not? Though I wouldn't want to be a part of a world with nothing worth fighting for, no country, no religion, and no heaven, I'm putting the song on my blog because it sounds lovely... and overall, regardless of politics, who wouldn't love to imagine a world of peace. So it's on the playlilst, for now at least. Maybe I'll feel different tomorrow.

My sister-in-law the communist!

Just kidding. It's a nice cover. And as you make it clear that you get it's subversive nature we can all just chill to it.

Who cares what the background is of the words, it's a classic (and beautiful).

I care. But it is beautiful. And anarchist. And classic.

As a lover of lyrics, I too am amazed at the songs I've been able to put aside for the sake of a great tune and hummable head bobbing. I mean, the first S&G song I loved was Oh Cecilia, and I don't think I paid attention to the story those lyrics were telling until about 15 years later.

Are you going to see that Beatles flick?

Cecilia is a dirty hussy!

Who is anonymous? Forget the meaning and enjoy a good song without getting ants in your pants...

That was me. I was trying, but those ants! They won't stop!

Just kidding. I was too lazy to log in, and was just making a joke about Cecilia, a song that I love, even if it appears that her morals are lax.

One of my favorite memories was 4 other guys and I belting it out while on the road from Las Vegas to Provo in 2001. There was some furious clappin-and-a-singin.
