Reasons Why I Haven't Blogged in what is, for ME, a long time...

A friend asked me to take some pictures of her Scrabble Pendants for Etsy. Of course, since I still haven't figured out most of the features on my camera and realized in this process that I don't exactly have the proper lens for shooting something so small, I've spent far too much time having fun taking and editing photos of these cute little gems. That, mixed with a computer that is SOOOO on the outs and moving slower than ever has eaten up my cyber-time. (Ross just ordered a new one and it's light blue with a subtle pattern... I'm SOO excited!)

Oh and check out Stef and Mark's pendants at http://www.homestudio.etsy.com/. Another friend of mine, Shea, also sells some really cute ones at http://www.jnsdesigns.etsy.com/.

Somehow, these little ones just keep eating away at my time.

This was Mila's first plum. She devoured the whole thing, I had to do two quick maneuvers to take the skin away and rip the pit out, but she never let go, not 'till it was ALL gone.

I can't believe I'm not doing a post on JUST her haircut, but a few splatters will do. I wasn't sure if I liked it the first couple of days. Thought maybe she was just going to be a long-haired girl, but I LOVE it now. Now I just keep wondering if it would be even cuter if it were shorter.! And yes, she's painting her toe nails with her watercolors in this picture.

Grandpa and Mary Beth came for dinner on Sunday and it was heavenly.... yes because they are great company (entirely truthful, not to be discounted by my upcoming "but") but... also :) because Mary Beth is a born baby/toddler- lover and lightened my mama-load immensely. Sigh. Thank you Mary Beth.

Sophia would drag her to the couch to snuggle under the blanket and watch Beauty and the Beast with her. This is her showing great concern for Papa when he got lost in the woods.

I wanted a picture together, first one, not centered like I'd thought...

Second one, still not centered, and exposing one very red-handed nose-picker. I didn't know until I looked back at the picture. Made me laugh. Figured I'd share.

Cool, I really like those. and your photos are really awesome: vibrant, colorful, totally dig them.

I was wondering about Sophia's haircut...it's all about getting used to something new, I think. then you find yourself wondering while you didn't do it earlier. :)

hey, I get to meet your lovely sister tomorrow. so excited. :)

Hey once I think you asked something about being able to get your camera closer to what you're photographing and then I looked into it a little bit and then I bought something like these and then I noticed they were cool but never did anything with them or told people because I got pregnant and didn't do anything at all. But that's how you do it. However you fanagled things looks super though! These are like little magnifiying glasses for your lenses. You can use one at a time or combine them so you are able to (and forced to) get superclose to focus. The 52mm size fits on the 50mm lens. That's all for now. Maybe we'll see if I can find something cute and tiny to photograph and show you but in the meantime they're cheapo so why not really?

SO I know you don't know me, but your hubby does. We grew up in the same ward in walnut creek. Tell Ross that Ashley (miles) says hi. The reason I am saying hi is that someone told me that you guys live in Palm desert? Is that right? We are moving there in like 21 days! We have 2 little girls also. I thought If you guys lived there we could hang out and have a play date with the girls. My oldest cheyenne is almost 4 and my baby Shelby is almost 2. You can post a comment on my blog which is loseyfamily4.blogspot.com. Thanks Lillie

Lillie, You are the talent meister.
I have watched your already amazing photography get even better and better. It is time to advertise, and charge lots and lots of $! =)

I too fancy the finger up the nose picture. And...Mila eating fruit...priceless!

Hey Lillie-love the pics as always and really love the ones from the weddings. Still read all the time but never comment. Too shy :)
Wanted to tell you that Court and I would love a day at the park with all the kids and Lizzie, Roxanne & Shari. It'll be our little "blogapalooza" get together.
Hopefully we can get together soon.
Take care.

Okay, now that I see the pictures- those things are pretty cute! Am I totally out of the loop that I hadn't heard of scrabble pendants and could not get it? Anyway, yes very cute... I love the plum picture and the finger in nose picture. These little people have such funny habits- no shame. I love them!

Hey Lillie-quick question. I ordered something last week from "scribble it" which was connected to a etsy website. Is it a bunch of people working to sell things on one site? I'm confused.

I got a big 'S' and put it in the middle of the wall surrounded by family pics. Then I got a Sickenberger with a squiggly and est. 2000
I'm pretty happy with them. You'll see pics soon.
