OH yeah…. and I forgot to come back to this particular subject...

Dear Mila,

You said you wanted a baby sister… Sophia said she wanted a baby brother… she already has a baby sister, you know?

She says we already have too many girls and only one boy in our house. She's got a point.

I told you both we didn't have a say. As it turns out, it's not really up to us.

I felt a lot of pressure that I should want a boy. But you guys filled my heart up so full I couldn't imagine wanting or needing anything different! I've gotten very comfortable with pig tails and leggings and princess figurines.

So Heavenly Father decided to set me straight and show me the hole we've had, that we didn't know we had. The one that should be filled with cars and trains and dirt and little checkerboard vans….

I won't lie--- I'm NERVOUS!!!!! But thrilled…. I think we'll like him. And I'm pretty sure he'll be WELL taken care of, what with three mommies and all. You guys are READY.

I came home from my appointment on Monday (only 15 weeks) and both of you were so irritated and disappointed because you'd misunderstood me and apparently thought the baby was coming out. Scary that adults might think the same thing by the looks of me. Good thing he'll be SO worth it.

Love,
Mom

Congrats on your boy, Lillie! He'll be so cute and very well loved. :) Boys are so different from girls. My little Taggart melts my heart in a way that my girls don't. Dirt and cars are so much fun!

You are sneaky, I skipped this post to catch up on the ones below and only now seeing that you revealed a BABY BOY!?!

Congrats!! I can't wait to see a mini-Ross and Mila be a big sister and Sophia be the oldest sister of all. (How could you be nervous? He'll be 75 and sunny no doubt:)

Congratulations! Boys are rad and your's is going to be the coolest. And who wants to deal with tutu's and hair styling when you can just throw a pair of sweats on and be out the door? Boys are the best!

You are so good at describing those emotions. When I went in to find out about baby number three, I wanted a boy so bad. Then when the person showed me it would be a girl, I cried. Not tears of sadness, but tears of relief. I knew how to do girls so I felt comfortable with it. The reaction kind of threw me for a loop, since I had convinced myself that I wanted a boy, when deep down I really did want a girl.

Did that make any sense? Anyway the point is ... I am thrilled you are having a boy. So what if his older sisters will want to paint his nails and put him in pigtails?

Have I told you lately how much I love reading your blog? You are the best.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! A BOY!!!??? I'm so excited!!! Of course you have perfect girls, but there are so many girls being born, we're in need of some stellar men for them to marry. Phew, one less lonely woman in the world courtesy of a righteous, necessarily good-looking, great-family'd Biesinger boy (in 22 years or so:)

Lil, I'm SO excited! I only have one little nephew - Grant (though Christy's next is a boy too) - looking forward to little courds and baseball hats...
Hugs around your tiny belly (that I can't see but I'm hoping is showing soon!)

Oh, and Paul had 6 sisters right above him so he endured the whole dressed-up business and came out ok:) I think boys are even better when they have sisters because they have practice dealing with girls.

wow, can you feel the love? I think it's because you're making this feel like a fairy tale. seriously girl, can you give us an "ugh, pregnancy stinks" post soon?

beyond that, what fun for you. both kinds would have been fun. but there's something about blue, especially when it's not the norm, that is very cool indeed.

sigh. why is california so far away from florida? I could really use some lillie love close-up.

but really it's almost as exciting finding out as having the baby. well, maybe from blogland at least. boys are awesome.

so remember how i'm from a family of 5 girls. and 90% of my cousins were girls. ya, i was nervous too. i had to ask to be filled in on details about what boys do and how you do diapers with all that stuff there and the potty training. but it's magical. i love being in on their little world. because not too many girls get in to a boy's world in their life. but when they're little and you're the mommy you're in their club. and he's totally my boyfriend. like the feeling where you almost want to wake them up from their nap just to squeeze them doesn't go away. maybe max is just a joyful child but ya, i'm in love.

so happy for you.

Aaaaaghhh!!!! A boy?!!!!! How exciting!!!! I was so excited when I read that that post, I wanted to jump on the phone and call you right then. And I am so glad to hear you say exactly how I felt when I first found out we were having a boy...and I felt guilty for feeling nervous and kind of out of my element! I sort of secretly wanted another girl because like you said, comfy with the whole pony tail, princess thing. But then I look at my brothers. And I look at your brothers. And I want that. I want the special bond that my mom has with the boys, and it's like no other. Boys are really sweet with their moms, and then I got really excited. I'm glad you and I get to experience this "first" together :) It's going to be an adventure, isn't it? And the whole circumcision thing, and new crevises...(I hate that word by the way)and pee-squirting-if-you're-not-quick enough...anyway, CONGRATULATIONS!! I am so happy for you. And by the way--you look GREAT! You just glow.

p.s. LOVED all the 4th of July pictures!! (I'm going to start leaving you two normal size comments so it doesn't look like one embarressingly long one :) I know. Sneaky. You made me miss SD so much. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Coronado. Both sides of it, beach or bay. And how nice it was actually cold for the parade?! I would give anything to be in jeans and a sweatshirt lately :) Your mom and Kirk are just the best...Kirk is seriously the cutest Papa ever. Putting in a zip line and fire pit for his grandkids...what a sweetheart. Sounds like you guys had a great 4th! And how nice Lacy is in town for a month! I'm sure it's complete bliss. Your girls are so beautiful, and growing so fast! Love you!!

Oh Lil,So excited for you and Ross! What a fun day that you were able to find out too. Phew!!! Love how you express your feelings. It's so touching and tender. Boys are so different (although Cash LOVES to wear his sister's clothes, especially their "weggings")but such a joy to balance everything out. I get a bit overwhelmed when I think of all that will be epected of these little boys as men one day (hope that made sense in a weirdly worded way), but find hope in the fact that their sisters will help keep them on the right path! =) Sure love you guys and we're thrilled to meet your sweet little blondie BOY!

YAY!!! So happy for you Lillie! Can't wait to meet this new little guy - I can't imagine how insanely CUTE he's going to be. Carson is such a boy now, but when he was younger with only me and Brit, we would dress him up and put make-up on him and he LOVED every minute of it. So fun...still can't wait. Did I mention how insanely cute he's going to be??? :)

Love ya,

bailey

PS ~ I agree with everyone else 100% - you are so good at describing your emotions...love it! :)
