Sea World.... etc....

This will have to be brief. I feel like I think of things I'd love to blog about during the day, but never have time to write, then finally sit down determined to get the pictures recorded and the essentials... with no time for creativity. Yuck. Going to have to do something about that. In the mean time. How about some snippets.

Shamu was BY FAR the best part, but worth every penny. The tickets work 'till the end of the year so we'll be back.

Why is it that I had to have kids to regain that AWE and respect for animals. They're amazing. These huge beautiful, powerful, sleek whales, so casually called killer--- swimming nose to nose with some friendly 100 pound blonde. It really is incredible. I still get that flutter in my stomach looking at the pictures. Sophia was enthralled.

Mila.... was more interested in getting anything in her mouth. My poor teething girl.

We went with friends, Tyler and Amber and their little boy Luke. Tyler is one of Ross' best friend's from college, so I've known Ambyr about as long as I've known Ross. She's a doll, and their kid... well just wait for more pictures... you'll die. With Tyler's crazy olive skin and those blond locks... so cute.

Luke saying goodbye.... you've taught him young Tyler. He was determined to get that kiss.

Hosted, of course, by Nana and Papa...

.... and the last thing. Have you noticed that any random picture that has popped up of me, on the blog, in the last several months has boasted the pony or bun??? You can look above or ....review....

So it was highlighting time, and I thought, "what is the good of long hair when you can't bare to wear it down because it's just not pretty anymore?" Something has really changed through my pregnancies and I have different hair. The texture, the color. It's all different. And it's just not pretty, long. It's too much work to do, and when I take the time, after at least an hour, I STILL don't like it and it ends up in a pony after all that work. Argh.
I've always admired those girls who change their hair all the time, like they've got such a grip on the fact that it will grow back. It IS just hair. And long hair is not the most flattering on every girl. But it is me... right? I've always thought. But scanning through my archives and confirming that I NEVER wear it down anymore did it. I'm over it. ..... drum roll

It may not be CHOPPED to some of you really-brave girls, but long haired girls, (Sarah) will understand that after building up the guts to cut a little past my shoulders, the result (being a bit shorter than expected) was TERRIFYING for a moment, until I realized that it was done... and I'd better learn to rock it... and it turns out Ross likes it... and I'm smiling in the picture.... so I think maybe... I like it.. :) Thanks Kim. For putting up with me, long haired wussy and all.
Oh yeah, and Lacy and Joe are coming tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever Lillie. you are so beautiful even when your hair is pulled up. But I know what you mean about needing a change. You look hot girl. Love the sea world pics too. Such a cute fam.

I love the new look! It's not too short . . . so it's a perfect transition for you. Still long enough for the bun, right? That's my limit on shortness. Still has to be able to go in the bun.

Looks like sea world was a hit. Tyler looked familiar to me so I'm glad you clarified that it was Ross' friend at BYU. That explains why I had seen him a few times!

YAY to hear from you! You're never boring or non-creative, I promise, and I love how your pictures sparkle and shine....sure, it's the camera, but I think it has something to do with the people too...

and way to give us all a surprise at the end! I have a feeling your sister lacy will have to break it to you that you didn't go THAT short :) but I'm sure it felt and feels drastic, so WAY TO BE! Way to pull it off, I love it.

SO CUTE! I love the new look! So cute for you. I am trying to grow mine out like that, as I CHOPPED it after having Austin. Pregnancy hair is CRAZY, I do hair and I still just don't get it!

I LOVE IT! It looks SO good. Can't wait to see it in person. And curly too? So many options. . . Have a fun time with your fam!

I've sort of (finally) admitted to myself that I'm not one of those girls that can change up their hair drastically and be totally fine with it. I don't do very "different" I guess.

But you?! I LOVE the new look Lillie. It's gorgeous. What kind of cut did she do in the back b/c I'm loving the look of it being slightly longer in the front.

However, I totally get the whole "change" thing and how it takes a while to adjust and maybe you'll just end up going back to the "you" you know b/c you like it better. I get that.

Great weekend. Loved the pictures. Wish I could pop them out though just so I could somehow find ways to incorporate the little details (your sunglasses?) into my life:)

I love it Lillie! I've actually been thinking of going even shorter, too. But I'm worried its my crazy pregnancy hormones talking & I'll regret it. who knows...maybe my next post will be about chopping my hair, too! You look great!!

YOU CUT YOUR HAIR!!! I want to say I get it. I mean, apart from the bangs of late (which I still hate) I've had the same hairstyle since sixth grade. Sure, I've tried cutting it a couple of times but have never been happy and so grew it out as fast as I could. Are you suffering from phantom hair? You know, when you go to brush it out and you're all surprised that the brush stops? You look great and good call: change=learning to rock it.

In my opinion, you could be bald and I would still put you up there as one of the most beautiful people I know. But regardless, I think you look great. Obviously, I am a bun/pony girl as well. I try and try, but it is so easy and convenient that I fall back into it.

How am I supposed to comment on Sea World when I've just been bowled over by The Hair Cut?!!?!!!?? Lillie! You look smashing... and as I actually thought today: my hair is a random length, not perfectly long like Rebecca's, not hip and short like Missy's... maybe I need to go one or the other. I convinced myself I was chicken. And then you show up looking like THAT?!!! Seriously Lillie, I'm dying. You look beautiful!! I love it! Do you still love it? What made you finally decide? Are you ok? Of course you are, you look like $2 million bucks. I admire brave girls. I really admire brave girls who usually have my same fears and conquer them. Nice work!

Sea World looks incredible. Those girls are darling. I can't wait to see the hair IN PERSON!

So much fun Lillie! Thanks again for a fab weekend. Your parents are the best! I love the pics and I LOVE the hair! Good for you. Let me know if you wear it down more. I have a feeling the heat (and the kids) will give you reason to keep it up in that bun. And I won't blame you! ;)

LOVE the shorter hair cut. I'm actually going to Kim tomorrow, and chopping off 11 inches. Thanks for the extra boost right before I know...if you can do it, and be happy with it, I can do it too!

Loving your hair! :)

I love it!! You look great, long hair, pony, sloppy bun, whatever. I actually really like this length. I just trimmed mine too, and it's still a little past my shoulders, but I feel like I chopped it so I know the feeling not to have your long hair anymore. You are so gorgeous, Lill. And how fun to be at Sea World!! We're taking a trip in the fall, (too hot for me in the summer) and can't wait. Poor Mila and her teething...it's like an ongoing thing too, because finally the tooth will break through, and then the next one is ready for action. Vicious cyle. :(

Hi Lillie,

This is Ambyr's sister Hannah. I LOVE the pictures of all of you guys! everyone looks amazing... It looks like you all had a great time in SD.

p.s. I am a long haired girl, and I totally relate. That was a brave move, it is very short, but it looks AMAZING!
