A baby... sprinkle?

Seeing as I'm having my second girl, a shower was not in the plans. However, Lizzie, being the loves-you-like-a-sister, always-seems-to-do-more-for-you-than-you-do-for-her, super-friend that she is, planned a "girls-night-out in honor of Lillie having a baby" kind of thing. She shot out an email to some of my closest friends and convinced me it was no big deal, a chance for us all to get out for dinner together.

Last night I collected-- enjoying a night out with a table full of some of my favorite girls, PRESENTS which I don't think are supposed to be part of a non-shower... (but I'm NOT complaining :)- one can never get enough self-pampering and pink- THANKYOU!), Pasta Da Vinci- my favorite dinner at The Cheesecake Factory compliments of Lizzie and Holly, a huge, heaven-sent, beautiful, black-out chocolate cake served in it's entirety... and I'm still enjoying some at home today :) (seriously Lizzie, I've never even SEEN someone purchase a whole cake there), and even a favor to take home. And she said it wasn't a shower. Pretty sure I just cheated the shower-system.

Thank you, everyone for coming... and Lizzie-- what would I do without you? Really.

that is awesome. presents, chocolate cake and friends. what a fun time. i don't know this lizzie gal, but she sounds like a real treat. i am so glad she spoiled you with a pretend baby shower. was your service ok at the cheesecake factory? i hope.

Of course you did. I love evidence that people get how fabulous you are. And really, it seems appropriate for second babies to get showers. If "two is more than twice the work"--then revel in it, right? Happy Second Baby!!! Oh yes, and you look stunning.

Becky, I love your comment about the CF service. I'm sure it wasn't as good as you...but ok.

Hooray for friends and good food (and gifts!). Of course you deserve it since this baby needs more than just hand me downs. And how cute is Lizzie to plan all of it? What a good friend.

I know that since I was there I really don't NEED to comment, but it was so much fun and you did look great (you always look great, but you had a little extra glow going on.) I think it was a perfect second baby shower: no games, good food, good friends, pampering, and just enough new outfits that you won't look at EVERY picture in ten years and say "which one was this?"

Lizzie seems like a wonderful friend! I'm so glad that you were able to have a great night out and enjoy some time with your girl friends! How exciting to get more cute pink stuff. I'm so excited for you new little one to arrive, but probably not as excited as you are. :)

I wish I was there to PAR-TAY! Sounds like an awesome un-shower. Lizzie is such a thoughtful friend. Love the pictures you look beautiful...you all do.

How fun for you! That was very nice and thoughtful for Lizzie. And I love the idea of a "baby sprinkle". If my sister has another little girl, I hope to do the same for her but she's being stubborn! :)

Can't wait for baby girl biesinger #2 to arrive.

Did we not have too much fun. Lillie, it is easy to want to spoil you.

What a brood! Not surprising that a sprinkle when it involves a good friend like Lizzie and a person to celebrate like Lillie, turns into a flood. How very sweet Lizzie!

I want to see pictures of what Miss Biesinger will be wearing this winter....
Wish I could have been there!
Loves.

Lillie, thanks for all the kind words on our blog. Congrats on everything, from the wedding, to the first, and now the second. I am out of my element with this blogging business, but it has been so nice to catch up with friends. Best to the (almost) 4 of you.
