Dilemmas of a Mommy

I saw a ladybug costume in Martha Stewart Living last year and have thought since then that I would make one for Sophia for this year. Well it's getting awfully close and who am I kidding? Haven't taken up that craft yet.--- Making things. Especially things that involve fabric of any kind, even if it is just tying or gluing.... or whatever it is. So I started my search, fell in love with lots of ladybugs and bumblebees (oh yeah, I figured Mila would match her with a yellow tutu as a b.bee), and then I saw this gorgeous petti-skirt:

And thought... I really want that for photos, and this website has them for a little less money than most, maybe she could be like a ....mermaid?

And then there was this... a fairy for the second year in a row? But it's so cute--- and can you really ever go wrong with a fairy??
There were lots more. Enough to take up FAR too much time today while Sophia was at preschool. I'll spare you the EXTENT of the dilemma. But really--- there are SOOOO many cute things you can do with a tutu (or petti). I think I'm officially a mommy-of-girlies now. Because I officially want to own EVERY tutu and I want lots of excuses to dress them up and really.... I mean really... is there any rule that says they can't just wear tutus instead of (---insert word for staple clothing to cover your little ones bum here) every day???
I am obsessed with the poofs.

It's a must. Even if it's just for photography's sake!

I've been wanting to purchase something like this for a loooonnnggg time but have never taken the time to look it up. Thanks Lillie for doing the homework. I love, love, love that white one. The blue green is another one I love and probably will last longest at my house. I couldn't get on the website - the link didn't work. will you send it to me? My little one is turning 2 on Friday and reality is setting in that my chance is almost gone for these types of things. Sad. I better get on it. Thanks for the reminder.

You don't have to be a girlie-mom to like tutus. I really want every tutu too, only I don't have a single excuse to get one. Boohoo. Life is so unfair! Enjoy the fluff on my behalf, will ya?

I wish I wish I wish for lots of fun costumes. I was JUST thinking about this yesterday. I wish for vintage furniture and costumes. It's simple, really.

all four of my girls are going to be ladybugs because I have the costumes and I'm like you I DON'T SEW> It's going to be a stretch to get the older girls to fit into theirs.

gotta luv the tutus, for sure. Here's a dilemma for you: do I go with my gut and want one of these for my pink one on halloween, or do I give into the wishes of her brother and make her Bob the Builder's assistant Wendy instead? I fear if SHE isn't wendy, brandon really will have to. :)

again i say cute cute! I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to have a halloween dress with a lot of POOF spurting out the bottom...can't have enough POOF.

Sooooooooooooooooo jealous!! Those are the cutest things ever, I for sure have tutu & poof envy! Nothing but superheros in my house this year for halloween. Let me clarify-Superheros who are constantly trying to battle, see who's the strongest, fastest & boss of the other superheros.
