So my friend Michelle posted a picture of her little girl in this darling little HANDMADE dress she whipped up a couple of weeks ago. I commented on how INCREDIBLY cute it was, of course, and how my order was in, were she to start making them for profit. And I get a phone call all of, what like 2 days later Michelle? Saying... "so I need your address to send Mila's dress!"
A few days later, my squishy little almost-11-month-old was cruising around in this tiered work of art.
Thank you Michelle! It fits perfect-- I love it.

Is she looking for any new friends? Cutest dress ever. Wish I could sew something like that. . .so far I'm only pretty good at straight (ok not so straight) lines.
Hooray and a half! So happy it fit, oh soo happy it fit. :) and i love the yellow ruffle at the bottom...like if she could twirl it would twirl so good. :) (good english too, I know, I try.)
And friend kodi, be ASSURED all I did was sew straight lines...I got all my inspiration and the pattern from friend Allie, who's the true creator of all things fabulous around here. :)
thanks lillie, for the shout out. I told Brandon you know just how to be my friend--lots and lots of complimenting. make me feel like a a million bucks, as always...
Oh WOW Lillie! Such a cute dress. I am determined to learn to sew because every time I see something like this I think, I could do that! Why don't I?? Michelle is an inspiration. 'The Art of Homemaking' I call it.
OK, Michelle. You HAVE to sell those! SOOO cute!
And Lillie . . . PLEASE post pull photos of all of your rooms in your house. Because just the glimpse of the frames and Mila's name have given me a good idea. :)
SO cute! love the pictures.
Photos are absolutely amazing!
Gorgeous photos + a beautiful dress. Michelle, can you open an Etsy shop? Really.
And Lillie, post photos of Mila's room - it looks different in the background of this photo than the earlier ones you posted...
Lillie-
Vern & I would like to do a park playdate with you guys some Saturday, catch up, watch the kids go crazy....Once it gets cooler let me know one that works for you. Lizzie, Roxanne & Shari too if they want. I love reading your blog, thanks for sharing so much. I hope Ross is doing great at MS, we almost stopped by to see them today. Talk to you soon!
That dress makes me daydream. Have you ever been in Utah (or anywhere that has seasons for that matter?), on Easter weekend when spring is budding, and everything is light green, and new, and fresh?? That is this dress...and that cutie patootie wearing it.
Oh, I love it! One of my friends JUST made her three girls dresses almost identicle to this, and I would love to learn how to make these! (only problem is, sewing is and never will be my forte.) But they're adorable, and that was so sweet of Michelle to make her one! Okay, and I had to scroll down on the "debate". Wow. I read all 38 comments, and there will probably be more tomorrow. I have such admiration for you, Lill. I tend to just keep my mouth shut on purpose, when it comes to topics like this...politics, issues, etc. to avoid controversy and tension, or offending someone. Until lately. I just have too strong of opinions for what is going on with the election and everything. We've sort of turned into political junkies lately, and I love that you spoke about our beliefs and had such a big discussion on your blog! And you were so heart felt, while speaking your opinion in a non-judging way. It was interesting to hear everyone's comments and viewpoints, although it didn't change my mind on the subject. It just makes me want to try that much harder to teach my children within a christ-centered home, our beliefs and values, whether the laws pass or not, and hopefully it will. Anyway, good for you in making your blog a place for not only ADORABLE pictures of your kids and house :), but also talking about real issues, and our beliefs!! Love you!!
