Can we just take a moment?.....

To celebrate my 2 year blogger anniversary!

October 11, 2006---- that's when Missy's encouragement finally got to me and I started with no promise of upkeep. Sophia was barely a year, and Mila a distant glimmer in Ross' eye (or my eye? how does that go?) And now two years later?...... who'd have known I'd be a total junkie who shares too much (and so gets hate comments from random strangers on first political blog in 2 years) and posts too many pictures (but thank goodness I do because I just got my BLURB BOOK in the mail and it is PURE GOLD to me, since I've completely stopped printing pictures unless they're being framed.) So I guess it's all worth it to me. It's really become a wonderful outlet and hobby for me. It makes everything a little more fun, knowing I've got a great place to document it later. Not to mention I get to learn from, be inspired by, and feel UNDERSTOOD by so many great friends I might not otherwise be in touch with. Which reminds me, I sure hope nobody ever feels obligated to read my blog, like you're committed through precedant... we are all SO busy, it's hard enough to keep your own up. Skip or stop whenever you want, but at the same time I need to confess that I absolutely LOVE your comments, your thoughts, your blogs. I love it all. Thanks for reading sometimes. And thanks for sharing your lives right back.
So I just thought I should squeeze in a post tonight in honor of 2 YEARS and as a shout out to the blog! Hooray for technology right?

So on a different note-- my official Oct. 11 post is this--- Heath is here while Mel and Mike get one last hoorah in Palm Springs before their new little baby girl is born in December. So the weather decided to cooperate and we had a GORGEOUS 70-something degree day (first one since the Spring) and got to soak it up at the Living Desert. We actually just happened to run into Lizzie and Shad, so Sophia got to enjoy some Tanner- time too--- crucial to my little one's happiness.

You gotta know that I love the blog. It was the magic that hooked us up again...and since you're one of my very favorite people, I feel indebted to this piece of the technology-that-connects-people-pie. Plus, your blog is better than most, let's face it. I love your thoughts, I love your style, I love your colors, I love your lillie-ness. I know I'm not alone either. ;)

hooray for 2 years! i wish I could see the blurb book too..I'm yet to set off on that adventure, but am excited for a final project someday.

Ode to the blog. No better way to spill your guts than on the internet, ya know? Low risk. I love your blog Lillie. I'll always be back. You write exactly like a conversation must go. It's so real, so many little comments from the sidelines in parenthesis... and the main stuff almost not as important as the side notes. And the photos. You have completely come into your own huge photography talent in the last year and I've witnessed the transformation. It's been wonderful.
You're one to look up to.

I love everything about your blog. I love that you share what's going on. And your writing ability makes it one of my favorites to read. The more pictures, the better. Love them!

I also love that Sophia and Tanner are such good buddies. Nate has a little girl friend so I love seeing that crazy boys and cute little girls can be good buddies, too.

And I'm so glad you're here...I feel like it's giving me a chance to make up for how stupidly we didn't know each other better in Provo. Love you dearly--

Thank goodness for it. Your photography only gets better too. I feel like we got our cameras at around the same time and your knowledge and pictures have sky rocketed past my silly auto ones...

Even still, hooray for blogging and two years and perfect photos at the zoo.

Aren't giraffes amazing? I think they and babies are the latest fascinations I have. Neither seems entirely plausible or real.

Kudos to the rest of commenters - your blog is obviously a favorite. You write like you speak (so I read as quickly as possible to make it real) - honest and genuine... fun and with love. It makes up for a few of the conversations that we can't have as regularly.
Love you and can't wait to see you soon. Want to come to San Clemente for Sunday?

hooray for blogging birthdays! even though i curse the blog about every other day (because the upkeep on my own isn't the fun part for me, it's reading YOURS and everyone else's blogs) i can still say i'm grateful we have something that lets us see each other's worlds while we're states or countries away. i LOVE your blog. it always makes me happy to read about your beautiful life!
