The House... or a very decorated (in an overly warm tone for me) version.
So I didn't want to put pictures of the model since our house really looks, and will look NOTHING like it. But since I want so badly to post pictures (this is for you Brooke), these will at least give you an idea. The outside of our house is dark brown (which I don't love, but that's ok.) You have to have some vision to imagine this house empty with white walls and mostly carpet :) In ours, the banister and cabinets are a dark espresso brown, and the granite is a gold/tan/brown swirly pattern, both of which I like more than the model. So we've got that on it.
These pictures are pretty much my favorite things about the house. The bathroom... need I explain? The entry to the master, we have all those cabinets... the uppers are an upgrade so we were lucky they came with ours (it fell out of escrow, so it had some nice upgrades included.) And the last picture is the view when you enter the house (ours is the mirror image... but I love the vaulted grand entrance with the staircase. You can see in that picture where the dining room is on the right, and the entrance to the family room which blends into the kitchen on the left (of the picture.)
March 25th!!! It's going to come so soon. I still can't figure out how we're supposed to come up with the time to pack up and clean up this whole house for a renter... but I'm sure all work (and deprivation since I'm no longer allowed to spend any money) will be worth it. We'll have space, so everyone, start planning your trip out!
And the floorplan for those of you as interested in houses as me.

Sweet! First comment!
Don't feel like you HAVE to move in on the 25th. That will make you cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Nor do you have to clean the other house right away. Set some goals and pace yourselves.
Awesome house.
Looks beautiful! I can't wait to see it with your furniture and your unbelievable good taste in decorating in your house.
So happy for you guys! And we want to come visit once you get things settled - though the date of closing is scaring me a bit. Are you still going to make our girls weekend?!
Beautiful house! I can't wait to see what touches you put on your own! LOVE, love, love the bathroom!! And the entry way is gorgeous!
thank you lillie! i have been checking every, single day....sometimes twice! SOOOOOOO excited for you guys and seriously cannot wait to someday see it in person. love the lay out...the master etc. that bathroom is truly worth the whole thing...i would be escaping there on a rather regular basis. my dad said he snapped a few shots as well so maybe i can see the colors better. love you.
thank you lillie! i have been checking every, single day....sometimes twice! SOOOOOOO excited for you guys and seriously cannot wait to someday see it in person. love you.
I really like the plan 3 in Alicante too. It was between the 2 and the 3 and we went with the 2 because I didn't want stairs. BUT if I was going to have a 2 story house Alicante 3 was my favorite.
BEAUTIFUL! Not so much all the warm colors though...I'm with ya on that. I like how you could fit approximately 3 of my bathrooms in your bathroom. They did not like to spread out much in the bathroom in 1921 I guess.
Wait, Lillie, you put the floorplan up after I checked. Do you have the four or five bedrooms? Is there a loft or den too? How fun!
So awesome you guys! Congratulations!!
I am so excited for you, Lillie! I love it, and how nice to have more room! What a gorgeous home, you will decorate it beautifully with your touch and make it your own. How exciting!! And I loved the pictures of Mila's baby blessing...you look gorgeous as always, what a weekend!!
Looks beautiful and big! I'm so jealous of your master suite. Hope we can come down and visit soon! Always fun to read your blog and see how your family is doing.
looks great, lillie! Congrats! How fun for you to decorate & get all settled in!!
HOLY COW! That is beautiful and HUGE! I'm definitely jealous. I love everything about it and can't wait to see it in person.
Just wanted to say welcome to the neighborhood! We're so excited for you guys and happy that all of the camping out you did in your car and in the loft at the model homes paid off! That was so funny. Your family sounds wonderful; your father-in-law sleeping in the car says it all! You're so blessed. What an adventure for you all!
So cute! I am just going to give you a big "whoa nellie" to that master bathroom. It looks like a resort! I love the floorplan, too, I always have to dissect a floorplan for hours, it's so much fun. Yay!
BEAUTIFUL! GRAND! FABULOUS! how fun for you. I'm glad the major stress is over and now you can just have happy stress to deal with. :) I think it's great too that we all know you will have it decorated BETTER than the model home...can't often say that.
It is beautiful! I especialy love the staircase; my mind is a whirl with the great Christmas decor that can adorn it:), and the master bath - um, we would like to housesit when you go somewhere so I can soak in that huge tub! I am so happy for you guys! It is a beautiful home, and will be wonderful for entertaining:)... also, cannot wait until the 14th!!
Missy,
A little nervous about the girl's weeekend... but I think I'll figure something out. At least for a day trip. And it's FIVE bedrooms! I know right. It's so we can persuade people like you to come and visit us. No loft, it was either that or the 5th bedroom.
Kelley, if you HAPPEN to check back here, what is your email address?! I get your comments here and there and can't figure out how to reach YOU.
Hi Lillie. You probably don't remember me but I heard you are moving to our ward. How fun for you guys to get the big, beautiful home of your dreams! Since we didn't get a chance last summer to swim at my house and eat at Alkobar (I broke my foot the first day of summer and didn't get my boot off until end of summer) let's do it this summer, okay? I'm new to the blogging world and I must say that your blog is absolutely adorable and you are so insightful. Congrats on your house and I look forward to seeing you on a regular basis. Have a super day! Alysa Whitlock
