Official?

So I don't know if I can really claim to be a mom of two yet. Ross' mom has been here since last Wednesday to visit and help and his dad was here with her today so I had one last hurrah. Went to Home Goods, lunch with Ross, and Costco... all with two free hands and a quiet car. It's always a little bittersweet. I can get things done in like half the time and with half the energy, but I SO miss the sweet presence of a little one... especially in the car. So tomorrow I think it's official. Tomorrow I'm a mom of two. We'll see how it goes.

Sophia in Daddy's "big red shirt." She ran around the house happy as could be-- I think she liked the breeze.

Mila enjoying her first visit with her Nana and Grandpa B.

And just some more of the little bundle of love.

The best she'd let me snap on Sunday morning in a Christmas dress. She was ready to get in the car and out of the house.

happy to be commenter #1, thank you very much. :)

Also, I am pleased to see that maybe you kept baby mila in the sac for church? if you didn't, don't tell me. I've been having the hardest time wondering if I should dress up my little one in silly-too-big dresses yet. I have one for Christmas that I might finally try next week, but that will be 8 weeks...so I'm going to pretend that I'm in the know since maybe I did it how you, mother of second girl did it.

good luck with two little ones. I actually think you will do a beautiful job (even if you're like me and beautiful means unshowered, unkempt, unorganized, etc..) and actually, sophia will feel like major company, and that might help her with the whole hitting thing (I hope so! know that it's not your fault!) ....best of luck.

This is Nellie, Ross' friend from Walnut Creek. Congratulations on your beautiful girls. I just became a mom of two four months ago. It's great! I have a little girl who is two and a sweet baby boy. Your days will be a little more crazy, but full of laughter and smiles. Enjoy it!

Mila's face is getting full and she looks like she is starting the newborn to baby transition. She looks so peaceful. I think it is great you are getting lots of help. It is important that when you do go it alone that you are adequately rested. I can't wait for the coming out party - you know all four of you making your official entrance back into society.

Hey Lillie!
This is your old roomie from a million years ago! I found your blog from Genny's. Congrats on your new little one! Your family is beautiful!

Good luck..it is actually quite fun to see your now HUGE child a BIG sister and how much she will grow to love Mila. Don't forget to laugh when everything goes wrong and don't worry about the days that you planned on getting just 1 little thing done yet somehow couldn't even get the task of getting out of your pajamas completed.

I LOVED the one of Sophia in her daddy's shirt! Too cute...and how nice to be able to have lunch w/ Ross and a few moments to yourself until his parents leave! His mom is such a sweetheart, I've only met her once, but she was such a neat lady. Mila is so precious!

I can't believe how old Sophia is looking. She is certainly fulfilling her role of 'big sister' well! She looked darling on Sunday! Mila is getting cuter every day (if that's possible).

During nursery, I asked Sophia questions about her new baby sister (i.e. Do you have a new baby? Is she cute? Do you get to hold her?) and she answered everything with a big smile and "YES" She seems really happy about this new life! I love all the pictures by the way. Mila is so precious!

I am in love with Sophia's little dress. And can't enough of Mila. Really, she is a perfect looking baby. Good luck on the beginning of this new adventure. I can't wait for the blog post down the line where you talk about officially being a mom of three. And then... You so HAVE this Lillie.

Mom of 2, huh? Yep, so glad that you joined "the club". It's a lot of fun, but a TON of work, too. Somehow it just all works though. You'll do a fabulous job! Cute pictures. Sophia does look grown up and I'm so glad that she's been happy with Mila. You look exhausted, but it just comes with the territory. Make sure you eat well, take your vitamins, and don't forget to eat some chocolate! :)

You will be a wonderful mom of two. Still don't know how anyone does it with more than one, but you make everything look easy!
