One more thing on our 'big present' list:

So I don't know when it happened. When I went from wanting a shirt and a pair of $10 sunglasses from Forever 21 to wanting a $600 camera, a $500 stroller, and a trampoline! I just can't believe how crucial it seems now to have things that make being a mom a little easier. Especially things to entertain Sophia these days. And now that the weather is cool and I want to be outside... we have nothing to DO outside... can't even take walks yet with the lack of a double stroller and all. :) So I thought I wanted to get a backyard swing set (you know the wooden ones) but I've heard they're so hard to set up that no one ever takes them to the next house... which we hope will happen during 2008... so perhaps we'll wait on that. A trampoline however?! I really thought trampolines were just for grown up families with big kids and lots of them. Maybe a house they'd been in for years. My parents really. (They set theirs up and take it down every time the grand kids come, so no, it doesn't share the same problem as the swing set.) Anyway, I already know she loves it, we'll get the kind with the enclosure so it's safer, it's great exercise and great for draining energy :), and we'll have something fun to invite her friends to come over and do. Sure there could be a couple of bumped heads etc... but all in all I I'm pretty sold on the idea.

The question is (and the main reason I'm blogging it): I never knew there were so many options in sizes, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15 footers... if anyone has trampoline experience, is a 12 footer plenty big or do I want the 14 or 15 foot one??

That's all for now.

I think you should definitely go for the trampoline! (Can we come over?!)

Wow. You and me Lillie--we're living different lives. I think you should do family sleepover on the trampoline on New Year's Eve.

Totally get it and I think 12 foot is plenty big enough. My sister is looking at trampoline's too.

Get the enclosure and it's safe and really trampoline's are good for everyone. I have the best memories making up routines on Becky's trampoline growing up and then having sleepovers on mine with friends in high school. Just fun times.

She'll love it. Totally get it. You can sit out back and feed Mila while Sophia is jumping to her hearts delight.

Good call with the swing set. We got one in Vegas from Costco, LOVED it, took 14 hours with 3 grown men to build it and we had to sell it when we left. The 12 footer is ideal, I think. Those are the sizes that lots of friends have (nope, it'll take A LOT of bribing and whining, maybe even tricking Bri before we get one as he's just seen too much in his residency). Anyways, they are so fun and I'm sure your bladder will still allow you to get involved. I'm a wreck when I try! :) Good luck!

Sleepovers on a trampoline are some of my favorite memories growing up. My sister recently got the exact trampoline you are talking about and it's been a bit hit at their house. How fun!

YAY!! I want a trampoline too. I thought 12 footers were standard,...shows you what I know. They are really good exercise. Although I don't think I will ever be jumping on one again. After 4 kids who knows if I will have any kind of control over my bladder. Too much info?? :)

Well first off, I think you're totally greedy wanting all of things materialistic things for Christmas. I mean, I NEVER want materialistic big ticket items. = )

Second, yes get the tramp and soon please. That will keep my child more occupied at your house.

We almost got one a few months ago...but, unless you put it on concrete I heard your grass dies, and then you have to move it every time you mow...I also have heard that the round one's when you jump kind of pulls you into the center of the trampoline (hence more bonked heads & injurues) and I have heard that the rectangular one's are the best, and safest. I'm sure they are more expensive though. I'm not sure. They are fun though, and we had one built into the ground growing up - and we of course loved it :)
