So Monday before Halloween we did the official pumpkin carving with some friends. We didn't take any pictures of the action but this is what the little s did while the s frantically created faces in squash and pretended it was somewhat for the kids. I think it's the first time we've carved pumpkins since we got married. Ross thinks we've done it before. He's all about tradition and mentions it every year and somehow we never get around to it. I'm sure in some way it's my fault. I hadn't really done my jack-o-lantern research and didn't have any ideas for special carving. Ross tried out the shaving technique (where you don't cut all the way through) and he poked all the holes in mine from a bat pattern so I could carve it out. He let me know he was sorely disappointed in my pumpkin carving creativity. And I wish I were an artist..... pfffffff.
Halloween started with a lunch potluck/trick-or-treating party at Ross' office. Here's the best I got of Sophia and Tanner enjoying their suckers.

The rest of these are from our Ward Halloween Party later that night. One of Sophia with some of her cute little friends all dressed up... ,one of Ross failing at the doughnut on a string contest (I say that with love Ross, as I'm not ashamed to have a husband that wasn't exceptional at downing a chocolate doughnut with no hands,) one of Sophia playing the game with hands... or rather just enjoying more sugar, since she hadn't had enough, and one of my dinner in the car on the way to the party: a desperate attempt to curb the heartburn (that felt like it might kill me) I got just from looking at all of the candy, ok maybe I had a piece or two. Yeah I'm still pregnant, and to my dismay, the "symptoms" still attack on holidays. :(
17 days of heartburn, sciatic pain, p. bone pain, sleep deprivation, weight gain, stares from strangers, multiple potty breaks per hour, swollen ugly feet, no wardrobe, and overall being too huge for your body pains... to go! But I will miss the baby movement. Love that.

It's it a small world. Yes we are in Denae's ward. Her and I have gotten to be pretty good friends. I need someone now that I've left behind my others. Tatum is almost 6 months. It goes by so fast. And yes I lost weight but I would not wish that upon anyone.
Sophia looks so cute in her costume. The picture of Ross trying to get the doughnut is great.
Lillie, I love the new pics. I got a good laugh out of Ross trying to eat that doughnut. I don't think anyone can really do that, can they? You do have great pumpkin carving skills, even if Ross says you don't. Sophia looked adorable in her costume. I can't believe how close you are to meeting girl #2! I'm so excited for you! Did you get my email about Trader Joes?
At least all of the pain is worth it... And then, we have more kids. How do we forget about all that pain so quickly?
Looks like the Biesingers had a good halloween.
Hang in there with all the wonderful side effects of carrying a baby. Only a few more weeks and she'll be here!
Halloween looked like a blast - I love how many activities there are for kids these days... wow. Love Soph's fairy costume - she was made for pink. I'm so sorry, love, about your aching body. If your little girl to be (can we please discuss names? I'll call you)ever gives you trouble - I'm reminding her of those swollen feet! Can't wait to meet your second - keep up the great work. YOu're undoubtedly as gorgeous as ever!
Lillie, Sophia has your beautiful face!! Tyler and I were saying how lucky she is...could have gotten stuck with Ross'...just kidding. But seriously, she is gorgeous! I'm happy to see that you guys are not only doing well but thriving. Another girl!? There's nothing better than sisters! Do you have a name for her yet? I'm obsessed with names so keep me updated. Good luck with delivery-it'll all be over before you know it. XOXOXO
wow- i can't wait to get pregnant after reading about all the symptoms that go along with having a baby. my favorite will probably be the frequent potty visits. insted of waking up two times a night, now i will wake up five times-sweet. it's a good thing sophia is so dang cute. tell me it's all worth it when all is said and done.
I'm a little disappointed in Ross' performance. Since I first read this I have been trying to pin down a foolproof technique. I'll share it with him once I have it refined.
Here's my favorite part. You said you were glad there are only 17 days of sleep deprevation left. Lillie, I'm not a mom so I could be totally off yet, but I have a feeling you've got seventeen days of plentiful sleep left...but sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven. Right?
