Putting Up Christmas

Yay! I made a movie. With lots of Ross's help, which is why I'm in this one. We shot it with my Canon 5D mark 2, with my 50mm 1.4 lens. We used the song White Christmas by Michael Buble and Shania Twain, and I edited it in imovie.

There's just something about video. I already melt, watching my kids faces move on screen... I can only imagine what I'll feel like when they're all grown up and don't eat their gingerbread cookies like this anymore.

(Here's the one from Christmas day last year... maybe I'll make it happen once a year.)

I wish our videos ever ended up as professional as that! Not only did it make me smile but my children stopped running around to watch it. Rhianna (6) said 'Do you think that baby will get up to mischief in a minute?' and then loved Finn in the box! Love it. Like you, can't imagine when they'll all be too grown up and these will be just memories! Happy Christmasx

Lillie, you have THREE kids! Weren't we just at BYU cutting up t-shirts? This video made it so real that we are in our thirties and seriously raising the little people that I thought I was babysitting yesterday:)

I'm dying at Sophia bouncing Finn up and down. Oh...what the third baby endures, ha!

Oh my goodness - that was wonderful. Once again, maybe one day I'll have even a quarter of your creativity and talent!

But you have inspired me to at least get the video camera out more.

Bah! As if your beautiful photos were not enough, you now do beautiful VIDEOS! I can't handle it. It's too much cute and pretty to take. Seriously well done.

So now you must tell me what kind of video camera you have and what program you used to make the video so I can rip you off, post-haste.

What a special keepsake you have created. Just lovely. Could you please tell me who sings the version of White Christmas that you used? Thanks very much.

Thanks! Kerwin... I loved your comment, :) I use the canon 5d mark 2, same one I use for photos. And I edited it in imovie.... and honestly, I've never known ANYthing about video and I've made a couple of little videos since we got our mac and it's pretty easy. And Kristy-- it's by Michael Buble and SHania Twain. Cute huh?

That is the best home video I've ever seen! I sincerely don't think you could have paid anyone to do as great a job as you guys did.

Thanks Lillie. Yes totally cute and very clever how you matched the lyrics to your family singing along. Thanks again and have a safe Xmas.
