We had big plans two weekends ago, when we were in San Diego for Mel's shower, to have my mom take some family pictures of us. We had the beach, we had fallen leaves, we had lots of scenes that weren't desert... for sure we'd take advantage. But then.... you know.... everything-slash-nothing got in the way and it seemed IMPOSSIBLE to get the girls dressed and cute, ourselves dressed and cute, while the lighting was right, and everyone was awake from their Sunday naps. Sigh. We failed.BUT--- so that I wouldn't come back home with absolutely nothing, after getting so pumped... we caught like the last 6 minutes of sunlight and had my mom snap a few of Ross and I in front of their house while the kids slept. I don't know what they're for... since I was really hoping for an actual family picture on our Christmas card this year.... so here they are--- they've served some purpose.
(A couple of answers to comment questions: Who took those ones of Mila and I a couple of posts ago? --- it was my dear hubbie. We got to Mel's shower just a few minutes early and liked the surroundings... I had washed and dried my jeans before we drove down, didn't wear them in the car, and put them on right before I got out of the car so... that explains the jeans :) They're not always so tight (no Rachelle they weren't skinny jeans, same pair I ALWAYS wear.. just extra tight.)

Oh Lillie you guys look like you're so in love. I think the last picture Jerry and I took having fun like that was on our honeymoon. Sad I know. Five kids four and under will do that to you. Cute jeans by the way.

oh lillie...how are we all NOT supposed to be jealous of your long, lean torso and your super hot style? super hottie, I say. I love that both your mom and ross were game for a photo shoot too...although the realness of your girls NOT being ready was refreshing. when you get our Christmas card, laugh. it's a "THIS IS THE ONLY TIMED SHOT WE ARE GOING TO DO SO EVERYBODY BETTER LIKE IT AND NOT COMPLAIN!" kind of picture. :) sigh. not perfect, but all there, right? I'm sure you'll find a shot of the four of you that will be great for the cards..no worries.

These are absolutely adorable. I think it is fun to have the couple pictures. Michelle took ours along with our family pictures and they are quite fun. You guys are cute.

those are sooooo cute, you two could be models!!! It looked like one of those commercials for clothes like old Navy!! By the way thank you more than you will ever know for making Lizzie a blog and as a result family memories none of us would have ever known! We are closer as a family than we ever could have been at this time in our lives. You get credit for that!!!! Also while I'm at it, thank you for being such a good friend to Lizzie, I don't know what she would do w/o you!

ok, I know there are already a ton of comments, but I just wanted you to know that I LOVE these pictures. I think it is so important to have pics of just the two of you, because that is where it all started. Justin and I took some of just us in June! They are going up in my room as soon as I have the money to buy frames. Good job!
