Looking Up

Reasons why I found myself humming some ridiculously happy song from Enchanted today:

-I can talk to Ross without him straining to hold in a laugh (the whole golf-balls-in-your-throat thing? Turns out it doesn't sound very sexy. Sounds a little more like 500 pounds of woman.)
-I can drink water. Lots. Yum. We finally have a grown up side-by-side fridge with the water in the door. It's been one of those little things you didn't know could make you sooooo happy. Strep took away all the fun.
-I can eat--which means I have things to look forward to! I don't know if I realized how much of my happiness lies in 9:30 icecream.
- I can swallow, that dang useless swallow that you never realize your body demands ever .4 seconds until you're swallowing your cheese grater. Or so it seems.
- I can repeat back Sophia's comments, that if aren't repeated, (as to assure her she is understood) end in FURIOUS fits. (On a normal day: "I see a tee." oh really? "I see a tee." what color is it? "I SEE A TEE." is it a palm tree? I SEE A TEE!!! I SEE A TEE! I SEE A TEE!! repeat repeat with screams and cries until she quiets enough to hear me "You see a tree?" "Yeah I see a tree" with glee. Go figure. So you can image the disaster when she couldn't understanding MY speech.
- Greys Anatomy, Lost, and the Office are on tonight. Which brings me to goodbye.

Okay you are a women after my own heart. I am so excited that Grey's is back on. I am totally addicted to that show. I am slowly getting into the Office but only slowly. I also love, love my fridge with the water in the door. I swear I will never go back to a up/down one, only a side by side for this girl. Also one thing that is so helpful is to put kid cups in a cupboard that is low enough for Sophia to get to, then she can get her own drink as long as she can reach. Plus that helps them feel so big. It can get a little crazy and messy but that soon passes when the newness is over. Learning your own childs language is always a fun uphill battle, and every kid is different. I am glad you are starting to feel better.

Hooray for all the good things! So glad you are better. Wasn't Grey's so good? I just know that Derek still loves Meredith, you could see it in his eyes:)

Glad your feeling better. I'll take ANY pain over a sore throat.

So, so glad you're better. There is nothing fun about being sick. And frankly your being sick meant you couldn't play and that's REALLY no fun. :)

I'm so sad you've been sick Lils! Glad you're on the mend and would love to hear your rendition of the Enchanted song. The bubble, the grater, the un-understood Soph.. all horrific things to have as part of daily life.

Be well darling.
