I think Sophia would pick it up really quick if you started her right now. She doesn't need to be swimming the strokes or anything. Just to learn water safety like getting to the side or turning over on her back to float if she ever does fall in.Megganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06250175043327053385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-4054680524482479992007-04-24T20:19:00.000-07:002007-04-24T20:19:00.000-07:00I have to say that I love her little thighs and pr...I have to say that I love her little thighs and protruding tummy. I love it!! I need to check it more, I used to check it everyday, if not twice a day!! I decided I go through phases where all I do is blog/email, and then I'm just bored of the computer for a little while! But look what I miss out on....Sophia in her cute little striped bottoms and topless(where did you get those by the way?) And cute little Heath and all the bubbles and balloons! I love it...and I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during your talks. You have ALWAYS been a super great speaker, and I love what you have to say about everything. I'm sorry about your D.C. trip! What happened? I too, was looking forward to all of the fun pictures of you girls with monumental history behind you. That will be fun for you to get away in the summer though!!The Marriottshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00961186581839245933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-55566803729734333792007-04-24T15:15:00.000-07:002007-04-24T15:15:00.000-07:00Ok, I could eat up that little lavendar polka dot....Ok, I could eat up that little lavendar polka dot. Look at her! The bubbles, the little tie-up sides, the shades... she's 10 x's more ready for summer that I am.

Lil, missed you SO much this weekend, but really just put in a little legwork and planning so that your visit will be even BETTER in June/July. Yesssss...

Are you hiding from the heat so far?S.A.S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08214481790318484732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-12199228686212974522007-04-24T12:48:00.000-07:002007-04-24T12:48:00.000-07:00cute as always! are there good pools nearby that y...cute as always! are there good pools nearby that you would like to frequent?
maybe my kid is just average, but we did a sort of mommy and me class last spring (so he was exactly sophia's age) and although it was lots of FUN splashing around, I definitely wouldn't say he "learned how to swim" because of swim lessons at that age. maybe just to not be afraid of the water, which to me meant having to be THAT much more careful, because he'd want to just dive right in. my best advice would be an inner tube or life jacket. boring but safe.

oh, and look for pools that have a walk in side..1 ft is perfect for little ones, and you can sit IN the water and not feel like you're just out on the deck for all to see.

probably lame advice, but at least i'm honest. :)Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09571579497960098993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-7299580918997096522007-04-23T22:34:00.000-07:002007-04-23T22:34:00.000-07:00How old is Sophia now? 19 months? You could get tan so it's like a double plus, right?

Was it a dream of mine or did you say Marnie was pregnant. Tell me I'm not dreaming of random friends of my long distance, blogger friend.

I really hope that you frame one of those pictures of Sophia. The colors with her toddler tummy is too much for me to handle. I almost want to frame it in my house.Missyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18417657410261794465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-6681830761383688572007-04-23T22:04:00.000-07:002007-04-23T22:04:00.000-07:00Well, it's 1am New York time but my clock is still...Well, it's 1am New York time but my clock is still registering 10pm Vegas time so I'm doing a little bit of work and decided to check your blog!

I'm not a mom yet, but my mom put me in swim lessons at 6 months. (my older sister started Abbie at 6 months, too). I could get myself out of the water by 18 months or so. While we were still watched very closely around water, it was reassuring that I somewhat knew what to do if I fell in. I too would start her right away. She'd love it!Lindsay Griffethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06474359990586878445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-4744788277348508622007-04-23T19:17:00.000-07:002007-04-23T19:17:00.000-07:00Lillie... did you serve a mission? Ok, as far as ...Lillie... did you serve a mission? Ok, as far as pools go they totally scare me too. Especially with wild little girls like Sophia and my Macey are. (when you said she insisted on balancing on a rock right by the pool I could totally relate...) I am so nervous when we are around water! My other kids didn't take lessons till 3 or 4 years but I might start Macey earlier just cause she's more daring and thinks she can swim. Sophia looks darling in her new little pool!D-dawghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04682844772855397023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-84250398530944352612007-04-23T18:28:00.000-07:002007-04-23T18:28:00.000-07:00I mean...just all over the place...no "real" walki...I mean...just all over the place...no "real" walking.Crazy Lifferthshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10729832209474333113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35880183.post-31810955071911769872007-04-23T14:15:00.000-07:002007-04-23T14:15:00.000-07:00I always love looking at your blogs Lillie!
